How to buy wonton skins
Homemade wontons are my FAVORITE, and they are deceptively easy and versatile for boiling, fying, and baking. You have to buy the skins from the the grocery store, and I advice stocking up on them at your Asian grocer as they will be more variety (and be cheaper) than your normal grocery store and they freeze beautifully. Note: never defrost wonton skins in the microwave or they will cook together; always defrost them on the counter or in your refrigerator.
I always love the thin wonton skins, but that is purely preference, just like types of pasta. Again, I am not partial to any brands, so experiment away with what you find.
