Sometimes people ask me, "What can I do with Shallot Oil?" Of course, my honest response is another question because what can't you do with Shallot Oil? So as not to overwhelm them though, I like to give out this Shallot Lemon Chicken Recipe on tear-away sheets because it exhibits a common chicken dish that can transform into a crowd-pleasing family favorite with the simple addition of Shallot Oil, all the while remaining both healthy and easy. At home I like to pair it with Shallot Potato Salad or Shallot Pasta to tie the different dishes together, but it also goes nicely with a side of greens and rice.


2 pounds boneless, skinless chicken thighs

1 lemon

2-3 tablespoons shallot oil

1 tablespoon sugar

salt and pepper to taste


1. Coat chicken thighs evenly with sugar, salt and pepper.

2. Heat 1-2 tablespoons of shallot oil in a pan on medium-high heat.

3. Cook chicken until juices run clear, about 2-4 minutes on each side, depending on thickness.

4. Squeeze lemon and drizzle remaining shallot oil over chicken.

5. Serve hot and enjoy!
